How is the apprenticeship period structured?

The three-and-a-half-year apprenticeship period is divided into different learning fields in order to optimize the academic and practical learning content. A reduction in the apprenticeship period is possible with good academic and practical performance. Factory instruction and courses related to learning fields are carried out on our own apprenticeship machines and equipment.

  • Production of components with handcrafted tools and machinery
  • Manufacture of simple assemblies
  • Manufacture, commissioning, maintenance, and repair of technical systems
  • Production of individual parts with machine tools (CNC-controlled)
  • Installation and commissioning of control systems
  • Assembly of technical sub-systems
  • Monitoring of product and process quality
  • Assurance of the serviceability of automated systems

 

Remuneration

  • Collective remuneration the Hessian metal industry
  • 1st year of apprenticeship: €1,049 plus vacation and Christmas bonuses as well as other additional payments under collective agreements
